February is a peculiar month. For something labeled as “the month of love”, I sometimes wonder why it had to be the shortest month of the year. When I was a full-time employee, I loved Februarys because we get our full salary even though we came to work 1 or 2 days short of the usual. :p As I once said, this blog had been a witness to some of my happy February days.  February 2010February 2011February 2012. February 2013.

February this year came and left us with good times and bed times (uh-uh! see what I did there?), and lots of special happenings with the people we love. Rachel, one of those girls I was telling about in that post, got married. My husband and I went to Tagaytay with our married friends. And we spent the last week of February with D’s parents who were in the country for a short trip. A lot of days were also spent getting stuff ready for Dawn & Rain’s dedication. And then there were times we just spend in bed, all four of us, laughing and being all silly! It was surely a full and happy month.

Thank you, February, for all the love!

Instagram Monthly Life as I Know It

January 2013 on Instagram

Hello. So I’ve been attaching black-and-white photographs on my 30 Days of Gratitude series (which still has about 2 weeks remaining!), but I don’t want the whole 30 days to pass by without a dash of color in this blog. After all, the past weeks have been colorful. Here’s our colorful month of January on Instagram:

This month we’ve witnessed some real smiles, answered prayers, countless of sweet moments with the twins, and an entire village of friends helping us raise these little ones. There was a back-to-back wedding, my brother’s 31st birthday which coincided with the twins’ 3-month-mark, SBCC’s 39th anniversary, and Manny Pacquiao up close and personal.

And then there were too many Instagrams of our sleeping beauties. It’s that time of their little lives where they’re asleep more than they’re awake, which we try to enjoy as much as we can before they start running around and needing even more attention. I think someday I’m going to miss this phase!

If it’s indeed true that the first month of the year is an indication of what the rest of the year is going to be, then it looks like we’re going to have one crazy [insert synonyms of amazing here] year ahead of us. Well, bring it on! :)

Food Trips Mommyhood

Week 18: All I think about is food

It’s Friday, about a couple of minutes before the work day ends and the weekend begins, and all I can think about is.. food.

My food cravings this past few weeks, on Instagram.

It’s like I have two hungry monsters inside of me! These days, I particularly like sweet stuff and korean food. I was a little worried about getting gestational diabetes because of the sweets, but as far as my last medical test is concerned, my sugar levels are perfectly normal. Yay.

I feel like I should have gained over 30 pounds already with all the food I consumed, but for some reason, I’ve only gained 10 pounds. Does that mean the babies are absorbing all the calories out of me (which is good, right)? Or does it mean I should eat more?

Coz I don’t mind eating more. Really. :)

Have a great weekend, you!

Instagram Love

Instagrams, where have the days gone, and yay it’s Friday fun fun fun

Can I just say that I found myself convinced to choose the iPhone over the S2 because of the Instagram? David has always been an Android user, but when we lost his phone a few weeks ago, he had prepared himself to take the shift.

I used to be so curious how ordinary people could come up with beautiful photographs like these with just a simple iPhone app. An app which, by the way, is now also a noun, and a verb. Aside from the app’s brilliance, I think iPhone has also perfected their phone camera. *slow clap*

So I got hooked, even though I am a year too late into the craze, and I could not stop taking instagrams since. Here are just some of them, taken over the past two weeks:

And this one’s my favorite:

I don’t think we’ll ever get tired taking photographs together.

It’s the last day of the work week, and David is on a break from school, which means, for the first time in a long while, we’ll get to spend this Saturday together!

I can’t believe how time is swiftly turning its pages. It’s Friday once again but it feels like it was just yesterday when I was waking up to a new week. Soon enough, the first quarter of the year would have gone by too. Where have all the days gone?

On the upside, it’s good to live in this era where we can preserve moments with just a click of a button, or, these days, a touch on a screen. Somehow, it helps us live a life we can remember.

life rearrangedSomewhere in the web, a group of people are taking Instagrams on Fridays and sharing them to the world. It’s great to find kindred spirits, people who love preserving moments like we do. I like taking a peek into a stranger’s life and learning random things here and there.

I think I’m going to do Insta-Fridays too once in a while. :)

So hey, are you on Instagram? Share!
