I’ve been in an emotional roller coaster ride the past few days, no thanks to hormonal attacks, the kind which comes by every month, to which I would blame my most recent breakdown, but let’s not talk about that. Let’s just say, if I was to trace my emotional biorhythm last week, my graph would go all the way up the highest point one day, and all the way to the lowest the next.
Case in point, one day I was soo happy that even David had to twit about it,
..and the next day I was throwing a fit at my poor defenseless fiance, and asking a friend to pray for me at some random convenience store in the middle of the night. (Thanks, Xai.) Barely a day after, I’m up on my biorhythm scale again and posting happy twits and status messages here and there. Haha. It’s a lot of work being hormonal, yea? Tell me about it! And what a relief to be surrounded by people who never seem to get tired praying for me and loving me even in my most twisted of days. :P
Anywayyy, the hormonal attacks are over, at least for now, and I’m back to my sunshiney self! And yay, my email inbox is pretty happy this morning too with my regular dose of FreePeople and Anthropologie email newsletters announcing that, woohoo, SPRING IS HERE! :)
Ahh, the maxi skirts and dresses and floral prints are just plain love! <3
I mean, sure, I sometimes wish there’s an excuse to wear boots and coats in this tropical lalaland once in a while, but I have to say, I love being able to wear sun dresses all year round MORE.
When I went to New York last November, I brought with me a couple of floral printed pieces, but it was just too awkward to put them on when everyone else was wearing wools and coats and plain, dark-colored knitted tops. While there, I had to buy stuff I could wear to keep me warm, but I had to leave them behind because not only would they cost me excess baggage fees, there’s also just no way I could wear them here.
And duh, yes, thank you for pointing this out in your head and being polite enough not to say it out loud: Anong ‘Spring is here’ sinasabi mo eh Spring is like, ALWAYS HERE in the Philippines anyway! I guess what I’m trying to say is, don’t you just love it when it’s ALSO Spring in the other parts of the world? Coz hey, that also means our favorite designer labels are launching stuff we can actually wear where we are! :D
And yay, I feel like wearing a dress today to match my mood!
When my friend asked me what to pray for last Saturday, I had but one prayer request — that I’d be so happy with whatever comes my way that there won’t be any more room for negativity. I think our prayers were answered, indeed. Now I just have to remain in this frequency.
How about you? What can I pray for you today? :)
